SoliVita Florida Active Adult Community. Live Amongst Nature.

Hi folks. Well my morning bike ride took me to unknown territory this morning. While riding around SoliVita, Florida's Premier Active Adult Community, I decided to go off road......

SoliVita Nature Trails

And look what I found. A deer hunting camp!! You just never know what you will find when exploring SoliVita.

SoliVita conservation area

And here are the deer trap and the deer stand I ran across in SoliVita.

are deer traps legal?  surely they are not.  I feed our wild deer apples a lot, thankfully there is a fence between them and my dogs and they are safe eating them.

Bryant that is an intersting find.  You must have been up very early it still looks a little dark.

Deer traps?

I've never heard of such a thing!

Are you sure they are not pig traps?

Bill

By the way deer could jump those fences from a standing start.

The trap was huge so culd certainly trap just about anything. It was baited with corn. Hogs and deer will be attracted to it. They may even catch a real estate broker if he gets to close :)

And yes it was still dark. I get out and about between 5-6 am everyday.

Amazing what you can stumble upon. I would make sure you don't wear camo or fur...

Very funny Gary!! I had actually thought about that. Blask may not be the best choice when wandering around the woods at night with no light :)
