Selling Poinciana One Property at a Time.

Signs of the times by Broker Bryant

How about an ASS with that house?

Isn't that a purdy house? It's right down the street from one of my new listings. Competition is heating up in Poinciana Fl! Folks are starting to get very creative too.

There seemed to be a lot more "For Sale By Owner" and "For Rent" signs than I normally see. In fact, just about every street had one or two. These are certainly signs of the times.

A FEW OF THE SIGNS I SAW TODAY WHILE RIDING AROUND

buy in poinciana fl                                                                                                                                      buy a house in poinciana fl

Now in case you are wondering, below is the sign that was in front of that beautiful home up top there. It's brand new(or so the sign says) and can be yours with no money down. What a deal!!!

Want to buy some crap?

Folks, as many of you know, TLW and I don't live in Poinciana. We live in a very small rural town about 20 minutes south of where I work. Here's one of the houses being built about a mile from us.

How about a house and some ass?

Notice anything interesting in the picture? Yep.....those are goats and donkeys wandering around the construction site!!! There are actually about 50 of them but they kept moving every time I went to snap a picture.

OK that's all I have to say today. What say you?

****All photos are the property of TLW. Touch and she will shoot you.

Reserved Parking For "The Lovely Wife"...TLW...ROAR!

Blog Boy...

I am laughing out loud at the farm animals. Only in Polk County Babe :)

I am still trying to figure out what to make of the plywood garage door?

I took a couple shots myself. I'll find my favorite and bring it back for you. I don't think I showed it to you.

Bryant - Why so many donkeys and goats?  Is this an acreage property, or are those the property of the builder?  What a wild juxtaposition.

You may not even believe this, but the graphic below is "goatnut".  You can't make that up!

Bryant, that "purdy" ranch at the top is just the type of house that a lot of bargain hunters are looking for these days...

So is your small rural town suffering too or just the bigger town?
Posted by Missy Caulk-Ann Arbor- Realtor(R)- Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams-Ann Arbor) over 2 years ago

Rob, We have MANY redneck millionaires in our area. Polk county is one of the biggest citrus growing areas in the Nation or was before the good old boys sold off to developers and moved west. Some of these guys still live in their old homes and drive the beat up pick up truck. But make no mistake about it they are loaded!!!

Brian, I fear that house was bought by one of the "we'll save you from foreclosure" guys. You know how it works....here's 2k sign the house over to us. Then they stick a sign up and if they find a tenant/buyer they make out...if not well it still gets foreclosed on.

Jason, It is actually on about 10 acres. It was orange groves and the goats are used to keep the grass mowed between the rows. I guess the donkeys are just there to help. "Goatnut"? That must be a sign.

Posted by Lenn Harley, Real Estate Broker, Virginia & Maryland (Lenn Harley, Homefinders.com, MD & VA Homes and Real Estate) over 2 years ago

OK hun.....I love the sign!!!! I'm a little more hunched than that guy though. Thanks for making me smile.:)

Missy, The population of Dundee when we moved here about 8 years ago was 3500. In the last 2 to 3 years they have cleared out hundreds of acres of orange groves and built 2 subdivisions of about 200 to 300 homes each and Maronda homes has one with room for about 750. Most of those homes were bought to flip and out now just vacant. We are lucky that out house is still surrounded by groves.

Jessica, Being a Georgia gal I'm sure sights like goats and donkeys in a yard is a pretty common thing in your area. It is here too. Thought some of out city folk may get a kick out of it though.

Mott, I used to eat a lot of grass in my younger years. It is the life:)

Melissa, My part of Florida is a far cry from what most folks see when they come here. It's actually very beautiful with rolling hills and tons of lakes, pasture land and citrus groves.

Posted by Bryant Tutas-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc over 2 years ago
Wow... donkeys and goats hanging around... that's just wild! I have these outside my window....

Bryant - Do the goats come as amenities with the house?
Posted by Jason Sardi, Pretty Fly for an Allentown Guy (None needed;)) over 2 years ago

Diane, That is really cool!!

Lenn, I think they ate it all!!!! It used to be a grove and the animals are for sale. The guy building the house most have bougt the livestock with his land purchase.

Daniel, I hadn't thought of the fertilizing. I guess that could be beneficial or shitty.

Posted by Bryant Tutas-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc over 2 years ago

Rich, Maybe TLW can go take target practice!!

Jason, No extra charge for the goats.

Okay can someone please explain the farm animals?   Are they living on the grounds around the house?   Did the owners of the home run out of money and just move in ... farm and all?   And yeah.. what's with the boarded garage?

Boy i would be making alot of those signs "disappear".   Not an attractive overview.  Can TLW use them as target practice <shrug>

Posted by Desiree Daniels (RE/MAX Tri County) over 2 years ago

BB - It amazes me at what I see going on also.  I have a couple of rentals that are available now & lately I keep on getting asked the same question if the rent is negotiable.  That just blows my mind away.  But, that house down the street from your listing.  Gee, that must be doing you wonders.

BB,

Maybe they should just put up one sign for the whole city 'FOR SALE" :)

Posted by Neal Bloom-Realtor ® Assoc.-CRS-Weston FL (Keller Williams Properties) over 2 years ago

Matthew, What a deal is right! I'm not quite sure what happened with that house. I do some research on it tomorrow and see what I can come up with.

Marc, My personal rentals are just sitting there empty. I can even rent my own properties right now. Maybe I'm using the wrong sign:)

Dez, That house is still under construction. The critters were there long before the house. Now sure why they are just wandering around though. I took all those sign pictures today in about 5 minutes. They were on 2 streets side by side. I could have taken hundreds of them in about an hour or so.

James, Good eye my friend. It is falling off. It is actually separated from the structure on the left side and leaning towards the right. Not quite sure what that's all about.

Lynda, You don't have beautiful signs like this in your area?

Rosario, I will l check it out.

Virginia, If I could only remember to take my camera with every day I would have a ton of these. Maybe I need to buy another camera to leave in my car.

WooHoo, If they are good come back and post them in here.

Broker Bryant...this was an amazing post...particularly the picture of the mansion with the goats in front!  And this is NOT in a third world country.  If you & TLW were charging for the number of chuckles and belly bustin' laughter that you stir up with your posts...well, you'd be rich enough to buy the mansion...minus the goats of course. :)

Goats and donkeys....are you in Mexico BB???  Beautiful hacienda, and we'll even throw in the goat.
Posted by Chris Tesch College Station, Texas Real Estate (RE/MAX Bryan College Station) over 2 years ago

Bryant,

Maybe you can get the goats to head down to the first house and do some lawn care. In our area, those would be deer and bear in the front yard. Count yourself lucky!

Posted by Andrew Trevino Wilkes-Barre Homes For Sale (TradeMark Realtors Group) over 2 years ago
Maybe they should put up a "for rent" sign there as well.  Then folks can rent the goats on lawn care day!
Posted by David and Kristin Small, REALTORS®- Myrtle Beach Real Estate (Eagle Realty- Myrtle Beach) over 2 years ago

Somehow the donkeys and goats would be better suited for the first house, with the added advantage of having the grass mowed for free. And plenty of free fertilizer. :)

Bryant- Are you sure you are not in Mississippi? Very cute! Nestor had a lot of dealings like this in Houston when he lived there. Billionaires over night when they struck oil and they still live in shacks and drive their old pickup trucks, you would never know. Most places around here do not allow signs. Katerina

Bryant,

How much is the pink house with the plywood doors?

Looks like a tragedy there with a flood of homes for sale. What is your city mayor doing to attract any business there? Attract any companies with tax incentives???

Bryant--OK MN is supposed to be an agricultural state and I wouldn't be able to find goats for a new construction photo! Really puts a spin on peoples thought processes. I keep thinking that in this market, the ones making the best money are the ones printing signs!
Posted by Teri Eckholm, REALTOR® Anoka County Acreage & Lakeshore Homes (REMAX Specialists) over 2 years ago

Teri, I think you are right that sign companies are making a fortune right now! I know I ordered more a couple of months ago. That new construction photo cracked me up. When I saw it yesterday I just had to do a u-turn and get a photo. Nice house too!!!!

Gary, That top house is a beauty. It was built in 2006!! Looks like it has some serious structural issues. It can be yours though for zero down and $1195 per month. Want me to send over a contract?

Laurie,  I actually love goats. They are the cutest little things. Maybe I'll get a few to take care of my lawn for me.

Susan, They are all over the place in my area. In fact Poinciana has chickens and roosters running all over the place.

Gary, That Ass kept showing me his ass!!!

Concetta, My market is a huge PUD. No Mayor, no town. Just a bunch of houses and retail centers. The biggest employer is Wal Mart.

Katerina, Were we live in Rural Polk county it is normal to see big beautiful homes next to a trailer park. And farm animals everywhere.

Sandi, Your just jealous aren't you? I have seen some pretty ruff looking REO properties. I saw one a few years ago that was full of dead birds!! Hundreds of them. What a mess.

Josette, That description does sound catchy:) Want me to send you a goatling?

Darlene, What you don't like chickens? They're great for target practice.

Sean, They are for sale. In my area they could be a big plus. Free food:)

Patricia, That does sound good. We eat anything in our area. Possum, gophers, alligators, turtles you name it I've eaten it.

Jeff, I think so too. Maybe I'll suggest they relocate them. The lawn could certainly use them.

D&K, Good idea!! I don't remember seeing farm animals in Myrtle Beach. I was an animal but that's a story for another time:)

Andrew, We do have dear and bears in Florida. We also have panthers!!

Bueno Dias Chris.

Carol, I don't know how much it is. I should look it up. You can rent a house like that brand new for about $850. Not bad.

Jennifer, Come on down!!!! I know  a good REALTOR(R) that can hook you up.

Lola, Glad I made you smile. My job is done here:)

Yvette, Now you made me hungry! I love goat cheese.

Tom, Get out of the gutter. Nah...better not.

James, I think a good wind and that house is history.
